A New Hope... by Kris Reeves
A New Hope....
The Empire left. No longer controlling my fate.
It was a great plan, but nothing CONCRETE.
Nothing is set in stone kris.
Good is on the inside, not in other people's minds.
The foundation for love in a freshman's eyes.
It's a Dance that takes half a year to learn.
now switch partners and do it again.
Shook as the wheels left the runway entering the sky.
Hoping it would never land. A private jet.
Only big enough for two.
Two who know each other like they know themselves.
The sudden opening. It was a great movie.
It's a great thing happening to me.
I've shed my skin like the snake that I am.
So heartless and Agile.
Lost and fucked up.
My head has more alleys than Mexico City.
But she came from the ones and zeroes. Saves the Day.
Through chance and bandwidth.
Shook as the wheels hit the runway, out of my way.
I have to get off this flight. This private jet.
Only big enough for you.
You who know me better than I know myself.
The songs about ex girlfriends. They exceed excess.
This one's about triumph and overcoming her.
I will make it out alive. I will find my soul beside me.
But this New Hope is a strange one.
This new hope can save me.
It was a great movie. Great special effects.
I almost thought it was real.
