Fate?  Do you really believe in that rubbish!!  If Fate has chosen you, and is watching over you, then why did your 'Wind' friend die, hmmm?  Why is Cirrus falling under our control!!  Trust me, kid, if Fate is real, then some miracle will save you.  But I'm afraid that he isn' t.

How dare you!!  If you stand against Fate, YOU STAND AGAINST ME!!

Pitiful.  What a shallow belief.  'Fate will save me'?  We' ll see about that!  You have no 1ST STRIKE and you face THREE Demon Knights!  How can you possibly believe that you will survive?

It's called faith.  Believing in something not seen.

Oh, you won't see this coming, trust me.  Your life will flash before your eyes, and when you open them, you'll be staring at the one you call 'FATE'.   Asher and Sabre darted at one another; their weapons met.

 DIE, KID!

COME ON!

Howling wind whipped over the two battling figures.  A streak of lightning was followed by a violent cry of thunder that pierced the clouds in an echoing brilliance.  Night was beginning to draw its curtain over the two dueling on behalf of the Empire and Cirrus.

Spurting out a blinding shower of sparks and fire, the two iron blades collided, an insane force shifting as power emitted out of them.  Light from above sent shadows dancing over their faces.

Stern, hard, Asher held onto all that he had, gripping the intricate design of his Dragon Swords.  His palms turned white from the pressure as he barreled down on the General.  Although smaller then the muscular Prince, Sabre was holding the Prince back, smirking under his mask.

Sweat formed across Asher's thick brow, dripping in crooked lines along with the rain.  Curling his lips, he huffed out a breathless sigh.  No matter what condition he was in, he refused to let his guard down to Sabre.  SABRE(you short freak!~)!! cried Asher in an unsteady voice, I' ll never let you touch her!  DO YOU HEAR ME?  I don't care how strong you are, YOU ARE GOING DOWN!

The General looked up at him through the slits of his mask.  A mocking grin spread over his face, unseen by the Prince.  You're pathetic!  Face it, one false move, and you're all washed up!  Get ready to join the rest of the trash of Cirrus . . . you're DONE WITH!! bellowed the General of the Demon Knights.  He pressed his free hand on Asher's stomach and a crimson ray exploded like a shotgun.  It parted the rain, staining it red, hurling the warrior.  An instant cry of pain shattered the rhythmic pitter-patter.  Asher struck the floor, leaving a shallow, smoldering crater.

Rising gray clouds of smoke rose around the hole.  Asher staggered out and brushed the dry flakes of dirt from his hair.  The fearsome impact drew out all the water from the crater and forced it heaven in a cloud of gas.  Shaking his head, his large figure remained still, recovering from the blast.  Ethina helped him to his feet.

Tensely, Andrea pulled her green hair back and stroked the side of her slender arm.  Unable to think, she set her gaze up at Asher.   Asher, she began, what should we do?  Kirin, Chen, Rapier and Caine are all gone, missing or . . . or . . . Her words faded as she recalled Chen's demise.  To draw back the tears, she cupped her mouth.  Straining her eyes shut, she couldn't keep her emotions at bay.  Confused, Andrea fell into a brief chorus of tears.
