I called for a doctor because I thought something awful had happened to you." There were tears in her eyes as she spoke. She turned to the side to wipe them away, but he saw them anyway.

"How do you feel Mr. Nicholls?" The tall man who had been touching his chest asked.

"I...I feel, my body feels fine." Rich answered.

"I don't think a visit to the hospital is necessary at this point, but you may want to consider getting some good bed rest tonight. Might just be nerves, these things come and go. I will tell you that if this happens again, I want to see you in my office immediately." The man rose from the ground as he spoke. As he finished speaking, he reached his hand out to Rich's and helped him to his feet.

Rich stood up with ease and moved towards Diane. He had no pain. He could not remember why he had fallen down or what it was he was doing in the empty ball field. He reached for Diane and Jimmy's hand.

"Yeah, pizza sounds fine to me."
