PROLOGUE
My name is Ishaak Hlobarron Junigar of the clan Ghardune. My race is that of
the proud Nah Dahka or commonly known orc of the world of Tarsun the broken,
for none now exist there to speak of it. Tarsun was destroyed horrifically by
the scourge, Jehotah. His very entrance to my plane shook its' foundation and
in his wake it collapsed. I would have also perished if it was not for the
planar mage, Ishra, and his harrowing group's rescue, but this is another tale
long gone. Since then we have journeyed the multiverse in search of the scourge
Jehota, to no avail. This held true until a short while ago. We found him
feeding upon another plane known as Illythien, that of the angels. They
embraced him in a deadly confrontation that was slowly destroying them. It was
with the combined sacrifices of dear friends, begrudged allies, and mortal
enemies that we finally stopped his sadistic hunger by ending his blasphemous
existence. And in this victory we encountered our greatest loses. Men that the
worlds will never know died so they would never have to. But that is in the
past and this is the now. I have come across this greater knowledge and wisdom
through the teachings of Ishra and thusly I am removed from the traits from my
own race to become a guardian of worlds and destroyer of those who threaten
them.
And now I have come to your realm as a last favor to Ishra, a last favor to
repay the life debt I've owed him since the fall of Tarsun. He has brought me
here with no greater knowledge than to unite you all and so I start with your
people for you so greatly remind me of my own lost home. And thus may the
redemption of your war torn world start with those who have so greatly been the
unwitting slaves of ill fortune and loss. May the world begin anew from here!
What say you great clan's men of the Gulnir.
The great assembly before him stands silent and dumbfounded. Ishaak puts his
bestial face into his darkened hands as he realizes these ashen skinned
orc-like people have the combined understanding of a small group of squirrels.
And so he condenses his stunning intellect into orc talk.
"Howza bouts wez goez withz our big clubzez and makesez em understand weza
wanna playza nice!", and finished with a barbaric yarg that slowly becomes
echoed by the thousand or more gulnir in the on watching assembly. Ishaak grins
to himself and thinks to himself, maybe this won't be that difficult after
all.
However the following period of 'renaissance' was slow to be achieved due to
in fighting, clan disputes, and invasion by other races who took the gulnir
gathering as an omen of war. But eventually trade began with the humans and
lower bhantam (dwarves) tribes. This was mostly due to the timely discovery
that the gulnir could create explosives that could rival bhantam dynamite (the
actual ingredients to these gulnir explosives were kept secret but Ishaak often
hinted at the fact the explosives were made shortly after meal time.). This
ascension of gulnir culture resulted in the

creation of the gulnir nation, the clan of the five armies (Ishaak couldn't
persuade
them to change the name due to there jubilation at there invention of the
number five, Ishaak didn't have the heart to tell them there's always been a
number five). Next Page Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2001 J.B. Roberts, sffworld.com. All rights reserved. No part of this may be reproduced or reprinted without permission in writing from the author.
