"Yes, I quite agree." Chase said.

"Oh," Marsh said, noticing the fire was low.

"I’ll get it," Chase said kindly and went to the fire. He squatted down and was about to grab for a log beside the mantle when the fire leapt up as his hands came near. He jumped back.

"Thank you." Marsha said.

"But it didn’t do anything." He responded.

Marsha laughed, "Of course you did. Now stop with the innocence."

"I’m not kidding." He protested, "It just started blazing’ when my hands were close to it."

"Looks like he’s a mage too!" Remee joked.

"No," Christof said as they laughed, "I really think he is. Chase, try to make the fire die down."

"How?"

"Just do it with your mind."

Chase looked at the fire and concentrated. The fire began to weaken and was down to a little. Then all of the sudden a small breeze came through and blew it out entirely.

"Oops, sorry. I didn’t mean to blow it out." Remee said.

"I didn’t know you were a mage?" Chase said to her.

"Oh, I must’ve forgotten to tell you. My element is air."

"And mine is fire, Arleana’s is water, and Christof’s is earth," Chase said more to himself, "That makes a ring of magic…"

"That’s right," Christof said, "All four elements. Whoa!"
