"Granted, she also died with them, but she did blow herself up to specifically murder Anat who was pushing baby Galit in a carriage, Yossi returning from school, Efraim and Yona on their way to the doctor’s office...
 They were no soldiers, had no means to fight back, to defend themselves. 
They didn’t even suspect what was going to happen to them."

"No, no.  You don’t understand.  Hannan had been already dead for a long time when she committed her act of killing," whispers again the voice, quietly, with a tinge of sadness.

"You don’t know what you’re talking about! Leave me alone!"

"When a beautiful flower is fed polluted substances that cause injury or  illness to one part of the body, you can’t expect it to live long.  Poison first  weakens, slowly debilitates, and it finally kills."

"How can a dead flower kill?" I  question puzzled.

"She didn’t kill.  The crime of murder was committed by the very gardeners who were in charge of making her grow and develop into the loveliest, the most beautiful bloom of their garden.  Instead, they fed her polluted food, they  rendered her impure by destroying her basic convictions for goodness, her positive attitudes for hope and replaced them with their own set of fixed beliefs of hatred."

"Why such cruelty toward your own, toward everyone else?  Can this ever be stopped?"

Total silence for a while.   Then, as I’m about ready to insist, ever so slowly, halting at times, I hear once again the almost fading whisper,

"Important questions..."  After yet another short pause, it grows stronger and it now speaks boldly,  "Cruelty toward yourself and others is a result of not knowing respect for the sanctity of life, that knowledge having been poisoned.  It can stop only when an antidote is discovered against the pois on.
