The Kiss (5 ratings) by Judy Simpson
Mornings of golden sunshine,
Ebony of star gazing nights,
I can feel your smiling eyes,
Sending shivers through my spine.
The sweet of orange blossom
Overflows my every sense
And this dream is so intense
It pulls me into a deep trance.
Luscious lilacs and a red rose
Of pure velvet to the touch
Caress me tender as I watch
My soul in your eyes repose.
Lively springtime showers,
Balmy summer rain...
Their melody in my brain
Grows into a field of flowers.
And in this fragrant colorful ellipse
We stand embraced so tenderly;
Eyes searching soul with glee
As our lips touch in a hungry kiss.
