The World Armed Forces (WAF) is currently at war with the Noan Forces from the Planet Neptune. We were thrown into the bitter war of planetary border dispute between the weaker Orion Upper Dominion and the stronger Noan. The World Government was reluctant to assist the OUP but they were forced to do so due to a sacred promise by the former World Chancellor to the then and current OUP leader President Kkiozy. The gem of The WAF is the *Saratoga* the most advanced battle cruiser in the entire Milky Way. The ship even supersedes the Noan's most powerful ship the 'Decimator'. Due to a significant amount of money poured in to develop this Super Fortress. 3 battalions of battle cruisers always accompany this ship which also makes up 2/8 of the WAF Forces. It's only wise to make the Saratoga and the total of 900 ships accompanying it as the Northern Unit For Defense And Extermination Force (N.U.D.E.). The purpose of this group is to patrol and exterminate enemy crafts.

There I was, In the vast, empty and desolate space, inside the comfort of a space shuttle heading towards my new posting, to the WAF Saratoga. I am Colonel J.Suresh, a military correspondent sent by the World Armed Forces to check out this newly commissioned ship.

In the Horizon, a silhouetted figure gleaming in the darkness of space could be seen. It was surrounded by another hundred or so figures of various sizes, as though protecting something huge...something very important I might add. As we neared the central figure passing by other equally awesome ships that is sure to spellbound any individual. Soon I reached my destination the Saratoga was a sight to behold.... that too if you are a military officer. My batman (sort of my military assistant) provided me with technical information and military jargons of the ship. The spacecraft entered the VIP docking bay reserved for visiting high-ranking military officers and dignitaries. A convoy of officers approached me and led me to their superior officer, the Ships' Commanding Officer, Commander Jack Monroe.

"Welcome aboard the Saratoga, Colonel," greeted the C.O a sturdy man with a stout figure. He continued, "I understand that you are joining us on our maiden flight to the Orion Star System. I say it's an honour having an accomplished military officer on board my ship. Aren't you famous for squashing the rebellion at colony Z, "
"Yes sir, and thank you. I agree it's a feather in my cap," I replied, pleased to know that I'm known for my exploits at colony Z.

After the brief introduction, the C.O took me to the brain of the ship...The control room. Security personnel were seen scouring the ship for unwanted intruders. Not that they have no confidence in the ship's defense systems but they can't be too complacent either....or just perhaps they were trying to impress someone from the headquarter about their high level of security on board their ship. Soon we reached the control room, dozens of computer screens and display panels were literally plastered on the interior of the room, churning out chunks of mission critical data with their enormous computing power. The control room crew saluted the C.O and me and returned to their work. I took my seat beside the C.O
"Sir, we are ready to proceed to the Orion Star system," reported an officer to the C.O
"Go ahead," ordered the C.O. The Officer pressed a series of buttons and in less than 3 seconds the ship whisked of into hyperspace mode, from an initial speed of 30 knots to the speed of light.
"In 5 minutes we reached the Orion Star system. The C.O then ordered," Head towards the border...Pronto,"
