Mother Dear Mother
         by Bob Tadlock

Mother dear mother, alone in your small house.
I might have lost a father, but you have lost
your spouse.

Mother dear mother, for years you felt his
pain. Now your left with teary eyes, sometimes
falling like the rain.

Mother dear mother, now your starting a new
life. Forever with his memories, forever as
his wife.

Mother dear mother, I know you'll be just
fine. You have a heart of steel, a heart
that's warm and kind.

Mother dear mother, if you ever need a place
to stay. Just pack up all your things, and
point them down my way.

Mother dear mother, when your life alone is
done. Come down and feel his presence, which
still lives inside your son.
