Administrative Conflicts (1 rating) by Juan Bernardo Tamez
Page 2 of 2 "Despite the wealth of technology we have obtained from your civilization
back half a century, we have applied those advances without being fully
conscious about the power they bring and their implications. We misused it
causing great amount of damage to ourselves instead of bringing an utopia." I
decide to make a small pause before continuing. " Even on these circumstances,
we decided to attack your civilization because we misunderstood your intents as
you began building colonies on our own planets without our consent. We didn’t
understand you took for granted the coexistence and integration of alien
species. Also we had difficulty accepting the idea that all the species that
integrate your civilization are governed by a group of artificial
consciousnesses that you call Administrators. Taking in account everything that
has been said and the fact that our colonies need your help, we have decided to
surrender our government to yours and fully integrate to your civilization with
the only condition that you
respect our unique and diverse human cultures as they are."
"Finally Earth’s Global Network AI has taken over the administration of the
whole Republic?" Asks calmly the monolith.
"Yes, the government on Earth couldn’t control the emergence of an
artificial conscience and an astute group of radical scientists gave absolute
control of the global system to the AI. The population hasn’t figured out yet
as it has been kept its existence as a secret for over five years already, and,
by now, several groups of AI’s have taken over the colonies of the Republic and
are being linked to Earth’s AI."
"Very, well!" the monolith exclaims. "I am going to get in contact directly
with Earth’s GNAI via our own communications system to coordinate its imminent
integration to the Galactic Commonwealth. I recommend you to return you Earth
with your family so you can retire."
"Thanks for the recommendation but I think I’ll stay in this place for a few
years more while things on Earth calm a little bit."
"So we are going to have our chess match the next weekend as planned?" The
Administrator asks.
"Of course, just because you are a thousand million times smarter and faster
than any human brain doesn’t mean you will always win. Besides, human
stubbornness is infinite".
