I swiveled my gaze at Dr. Walker. " Yes, I do not see how this have anything to do with your introduction regarding the underfunding."

Dr. Walker lifted his chin. " Let Arjish explain."

" Well, I reported the findings to the hospital board, expecting a damning ethical bonanza as a result. Instead, I found the hospital actually covering up the whole incidence for me. Within the first few days of my discovery, the hospital had a business proposal from?"

" Yours truly," Sarah interrupted the conversation. " Dr. Walker and most of the other senior consultants in the hospital were, let us put it, aware of the business potential of this technology. Why frown Darren? See no potential in it? Ever since Arjish figured out how do perform reanimation and selective memory wipeout, we have entered a new phase of economics. Think about this, parents who wants their deceased children alive. How much are they willing to pay for it?"

" However, one factor that even your tactically sound Dr. Walker failed to address was the demand for loyal bodyguards, loyal companions, loyal workers. With Arjish selective memory and personality modifying ability, he was able to reanimate youths who will remain unquestioningly loyal and totally obedient to whoever they are programmed to obey. This creates a huge market," she clapped her hands three times " of androids." Robert Chan and Caleb stepped into the room.

" And to introduce to you my personal bodyguard," the man with grey hair said as another figure, bold, upright, inhuman stepped into the room. " I believe from the briefing I had that you know him."

" Winston," I hissed as I watch this automaton stood at attention beside the man with gray hair.

" So this was what our payrises were based upon for the past year," I turned my head to the three doctors, who nodded their heads.

Realization dawned on me as I realized my plight, my fate. I jarred my arms and legs against the cuff, " No, I am not going to be an automaton!! I would rather be dead. Arjish, I am your friend, don't let them do it to me."

" Darren, don't worry. You will not remember a thing," Arjish said as he checked for my veins and drew in a syringe full of potassium cyanide.

" Never," I screamed. " You will never get away with this!!" Already, I could feel my nerves numbing as Arjish administered the last drop of the clear liquid into my vein.

The last thing I heard before the darkness claimed me was " See, he will be a good companion bodyguard for you. Quite handsome too, and can be your boyfriend for a while."

An anonymous brown letter addressed to the Head of the Police Department arrived in the inbox, obscuring all the other smaller letters. The man who sits in the post of Head of Police opened up the envelop and out of it, drops an entire folder filled with medical reports and photos.

After a passing glance at the contents, the man sat back and pondered momentarily. He reached out for his phone as he called for his secretary. A few minutes later, a brunette dressed in gray office clothing stepped smartly into the office.

" Josephine, take this documents with you. They are top priority documents and let no one see it. I want you to bring it to a safe place, and burn them."

The secretary nodded as she received the documents and spirited it away with her.

The man went to the mirror in his office and ran his hands through his mat of gray hair. The door to his office opened as his daughter burst in followed by a medium height oriental male dressed in a black leather jacket who stood silently in one corner, watching and listening, and unquestioningly loyal.
