A Dream of Sorts (6 ratings)
         by Tekki

In a dream of a fluid amber lake
I strangely find myself -- awake!
A long-lost voice I now perceive
I cannot bear myself to leave.
"Veridoth amroth eil linn"
I hear it like the autumn winds
Whispering in flurries and curving bends;
A tongue unknown, perhaps nature's own?
I am immersed in it's radiant tone.
"Thruun caldara thom"
It is almost like unto a drum.
I hear it singing a steady thrum-thrum.
Surrounding me in an aura of sound
In the midst of music I am found.
And yet I feel a creeping shroud.
My lucid dream, no longer loud,
Falls into light of morning's wake.
Yet as the fantasy mine fades black
I hear a remnant, falling back --
"Eloreth bielle vadanus tu"
