Death's Desire (11 ratings)
         by Teresa

I'm awake now, I open my eyes;
they drift to my hands,
them, the land of cries,
for one tear for each band
would be enough supplies.

What's this? I bleed,
my hands are in pain,
I woke up from a dream,
now it's not the same.

Alas! a red river!,
I can't recall anything,
my mind is in cold shivers,
nothing has meaning
and words are mere ignorants.

"Try harder" I hear
who's that on my side?
"Don't you remember me?"
he adds, with a sad smile.

I stare blankly, thinking hard,
who's the one that is standing,
maybe a friend, who grew apart;
or maybe he is, mind's faking,
maybe this is a nightmare.

My hands keeps bleeding
it's not my fault,
I have the feeling,
I won't hang long.

He's calling me, again
but, there's nothing left
What shall I say?
I'm almost there
now, he sadly prays.

"I'm your friend", I hear
I remember!, it's him,
my companion, my dear
I'm in need for hints
to survive this fear.

"Friend!" I want to say,
but my mouth does no open,
just one last word to make
just one breath more to take.

"Friend!" I finally gasp,
he's hearing!, he's wheeping,
don't cry, don't see my hands,
the hands of guilty sin.

How was it that I died?
It was someone's art,
I can't bring memories back,
just hold to my heart, tight.

I don't want to leave,
my friend's crying over me,
but now, I can't even see,
can't tell him, can't speak,
those last words, he must hear,
he means a world to me.

My friend disappears,
everything else as well,
images flow into my mind,
I remember a life's mend.

I wonder who else would cry,
who would always stay by my side,
for it is tears the ones
who must, toughly die,
stop the devil's lullaby.

My hand has stopped bleeding,
It doesn't hurt anymore,
my heart has stopped beating,
nothing can be done.

My body shocks, one time,
my body shocks again,
it's me, their trying to revive,
but when the water's falling,
one man, cannot stop the rain.

And from where I lay,
on the darkest corner,
I see my friend,
he looks so lonely.

I want to hug him,
to tell him to stop,
to smile, watching me,
But, I'm within shocks.

Oh! I couldn't tell you,
that I love you,
that I trust you,
that I'll always be with you,
my dear friend!

The sadness is over,
the seas are bright
is it a good omen?,
or is it a bad sign?.

Ah! my friend,
you joined me in life,
don't join me again,
breath, every word of earth.

Feel the grass that silently
lays and moves with the wind,
share your time,don't be shy,
for one day, you will die.

Think of me, but do not wheep,
leave that to the mighty sauce
because, we, humans, are weak,
and joy will never come
if you show fear, through tears.

My friend! my good friend!
I live, I'm not dead yet,
your heart keeps me there
something else I want to say.

So much to talk about!
So much to share!,
the dreams we had
the ones we didn't tell,
or how much we care.

Friend, don't forget me,
friend, I must go,
you shall release me,
don't stain with blood.

Let me go, please don't moan for me,
for the suffering is ending,
I had the happiest life indeed,
and I'm now parting from it.

Friend, see, that in the end
I shall take your hand too,
friend, see, that it will mend,
the deep, bleeding, wound.

Remember my smile,
when we used to play
remember the time,
when we joyfully laid
on the grass, recently dried,
form the previous rain.

I must say goodbye,
goodbye, loved friend,
death holds me tight,
my skin is gray!.

I must now go, they call
though you won't release me
autum leafs also fall,
also rip the grasp of the tree.

The rooten has been built,
you need to go on
you are precious to me,
to yor memories clinge.

I'll be there, in the morning,
everyday when you open your eyes
I'll be by your side,
granting you all my being.

Friend, release me,
friend don't cry,
show again to me,
your beautiful smile.

Lift your head up, as you walk by,
you are strong, strong of mind,
I wish I could stay, it's just fine,
you've always been my guide.

So long, I'm going,
the clock is ticking
and bids me farewell
but, why am I crying?,
I want to stay.

Why did you have to be so great?
I can't remain, I'm dead!
follow the lover's way my friend,
always forgive and forget.

You can hear me I know
there's one last thing
I want to tell
just one more thing to mend,
"I love you", my dear friend,
goodbye, don't forget.

The blood that in my veins flowed,
has now left me, I'm all alone,
take care, be good, we are young,
You have released your hold.

But, why are you on the floor?,
why is everyhing wet?,
I'm glad you loved me that much,
It was worth it, then.

My vision's blurry,
I can't see you
where are you? come!, hurry!
I already miss you.

Always seal your heart
with my whisper,
wherever you go, we're apart,
but, when you lift your head
to the sky in sorrow,
then, the moon is brighter,
the sun, is golden.

The heaven's spread
with your tears,
as you bury my body
death surely a sad thing,
absoluteley necesary.

And I love you, friend
don't forget,
because I was with you
I won't regret.
The wind will tell you,
just for your ears to hear
everyday, my name.
