began to chew his bottom lip, Gerfen had slipped off before he could apologise.
There had been mutterings about such a man, but Thomas did not believe it to be
true. The other serjeants had dismounted, and had brought their horses in to a
line. Tomorrow he would have to arrest this man himself. Thomas nodded, and
walked back to his chambers. He collapsed into his chair with another
sigh.
