There was paint on them

"Man, whats up wit that" he said "How canhuh?! Matt!"

Matt ran to where Jim was standing. Jim looked pale white as he just looked into the picture.

"What happened!?" Matt asked

"The guy in the picturehehe"

"He what! Spit it out already!"

"He winked at me."

"Your kidding me right?"

"Why would I lie!? Im serious!"

Matt took out his own lighter and got closer. He now believed that Jim was either drunk or just going crazy even at the age of 16. Where Jim had once seen what looked like a picture of man, Matt saw nothing but an old ragged picture frame.

"Theres not even a picture in their! What are u talking about!?"

"Huh? What? I swear! There was a picture of some guy in this one!" Jims entire body began to shake and tremble

"Yeah sure Jim, and I can fly. Come one, lets check out the second floor"

With that, they started to climb the stairs, completely unaware of what lurked in the dark corridors and rooms of the Hillside Asylum.

Scott and Justin snored loudly from the front seats of the car. Scotts face was pressed up against the side window as Justins head rested his on Scotts shoulder, a long trail of drool was forming on it. They slept soundly as their two friends wandered around the darkened building. Whack! Someone or something had hit the car! It sounded like a rock or a baseball hit the side door. Scott sat up quickly and Justins head bashed against the other window. He looked in all directions but saw no one, except for Justin who was rubbing his bruised skull

"Oww! Thanks you idiot! Not like that hurt or anything."

"Dude, shut up. Something just hit the car." Scott said as he scanned the area

"No Way" Justin said, "Theres no one else here!"

"Oh really? " Scott replied, his facing turning pale "Then tell me, who are they?"

Every time lighting struck, they could see a group of people, or what looked like people, with their heads down, standing under a tree about 100 feet away from the car. Something was odd though, They looked like just shadows, but yet something about them looked human. One of them lifted their head and stared at Scott. They were right, the people didnt have any facial features. Except for their eyes, bright white eyes with no pupils.

"Jesus Christ lock the door! Justin screamed "and lets get the hell out of here now!"

Scott turned the key, completely forgetting about Jim and Matt, but the car stalled! It was like something youd see in a horror movie. Just when things were getting weird the car would stall, or the phone would be dead, or the helpless, beautiful girl would fall while running. But this wasnt a movie, it was real lifeand the car still wouldnt work!

"Its not working! Just get down!" Ordered Scott

"Whats that going to do?"

"I dont know! Just do it!"

They ducked down in their seats, their hearts racing. This wasnt what they had expected. The fact that homeless people lived in some of the buildings they knew, and could deal with, thats why they brought a bat with them, but not shadows with white eyes! They were sitting in a car that didnt work, with these "people" watching them, and their two friends were inside the old Asylum. They had to get out of there.

"Shit, Why did I suggest we split up?" Matt asked him self " Another bright idea, no wonder your still in general classes you idiot!"

Matt wandered around the 3rd floor while Jim explored the 2nd. He could hear the sound of broken glass when he walked and the smell of rotting paint permeated the air.
