A Pony for Snookie (8 ratings) by Doc Toxic
Page 2 of 2 Snookie was thinking about catching some squirrels for pony when he noticed the
approach of an Elder.
Darn thought Snookie, I was having so much fun, now an Elder is going to
come along and ruin everything. He reached out and rested his gravelly hand on
pony's withers. Pony whinnied wetly as clear drool seeped out of its mouth
where a tooth had once been.
The elder stood before Snookie and looked down in condescending judgment.
"Snookie" Said the Elder, "Pony has lost a tooth" The elder pointed to the
ground at Snookie's feet where there was a tooth in a puddle of drool. Snookie
stooped down and picked up the tooth and showed it to pony, who then lapped up
the tooth and crunched it down. The Elder and Snookie shared a good laugh.
"Pony is always hungry." Snookie stated.
"Yes so we've noticed." Chuckled the Elder.
Snookie drew back when the Elder reached out to touch his ear. "Snookie you
should have that looked at. It will cause you some real problems shortly. Come
with me and I can have some one fix that and there will be plenty of chocolate
and lizards to feed pony."
"Pony loves chocolate and lizards" Exclaimed Snookie. Pony was so excited
that it didn't seem to care that it was running into the bony trees in its
excitement.
"Oh look at pony!" Shouted Snookie gleefully. "Pony is so funny. I love
pony."
"Yes Snookie I can finally see that." Purred the Elder, "Get pony and we can
get your ear fixed, okay Snookie?"
"Can I keep pony then?" Asked Snookie hopefully.
The Elder sighed as his L.E.D.'s twinkled with avuncular insight. "Yes you
can Snookie. You can keep pony."
They strolled off together through the forest of skeletal trees with their
giggling squirrels. They entered the gorgeous dwelling of the Elders with their
blacken twisted towers of steel and globular green mounds of glass. The Elder's
cable wrapped lovingly around Snookie's dirty hand, and pony, who was limping
from losing a hoof.
They lived together happily ever after until the radiation faded from their
hearts and all that was left, was a tangled piled of rotted happy metal and the
beautiful bleached bones of pony.
