Shooting Star by Andy Travis
I once wished upon a star
which has taken me this far.
The wish, more than a dream,
yet not a fantasy,
would somehow become reality.
Long in wait was I,
four years of anxiousness
stirring within my soul.
Wit each moment like the tide
I felt even more embraced in Love.
This would be the girl
who brings me to tears,
but all I feared
was her rejection
and not being the one.
Four years of longing
which has made the difference.
I now have my Love with warm embrace.
Because I once wished upon a star
which has now taken us this far.
