This story is based on my novel, Guardian Spirit:SHARHAN. It might be a little confusing to those who don't know the story, but here it is from a mini series "The Sharhan Collection"

Night was falling on the backwater town of Ralan. Jeff, Iggy and Mogol were watching TV. Afterwards, they sat at the table and talked for awhile. Iggy yawned.

"Well, kinda tired am I. About time it is, that return to Dragonia I do."

"Aww, Iggy. Can't you stay the night? It's kinda lonely here. I'm sure you have to go too, right Mogol?"

"Ah, not really. I can stay awhile if you want."

"Ok. Well, let's see Iggy off."

"Actually,"Iggy said."You may be right. Too late and too dark it is, for me to be wandering about. Stay here I will."

"Me, I like the night!"Mogol exclaimed.

"Me too. Well, then. What do you say we go for a walk?"Jeff asked.

"But that's just what I-"

"Ok, let's go."Mogol replied, interupting Iggy.

When they left Ralan, they went down a different path, one that Jeff had never taken before. As they walked down the path, large trees overshadowed them.

"How are we gonna see where we're going? It's pitch black here."Jeff said.

Mogol turned on the light on his mining helmet.

"Is that better?"He asked.

"Yeah! Much, but that doesn't really help you, 'cause you can't see worth of shit!"

"Hey, that's not true...ACK!"

Mogol walked face first into an object. They did not know what it was at first, but when Mogol shone the light at it, it appeared to be a wall.

Mogol stepped back, and looked at his surroundings more closely. It appeared to be a front gate of an old mansion. He pulled the vines away from a plaque that said the family name, but it was so faded, they could not read it except for a few letters.

"What is this place?"Jeff asked.

"I dunno. Never been here have I."Iggy replied.

They went to the gate, which was extremely rusted. Jeff pulled at it, but it didn't budge.

"Here, Jeff. Let me..."

It was a bit difficult at first, but Mogol opened the gate fairly easily. They walked up to the old mansion. It looked very run down, as if no one had lived there for hundreds of years.

"Hmmmm.....I don't think anyone lives here anymore."Mogol said.

"Yeah...should we have a look inside?"Jeff asked.

"Guys, go in there we shouldn't. Old places like that are dangerous."

"Oh, come on! What could possibly go wrong? It'll be fun!"

Mogol took out his pickaxe and began to pry away at the boards covering the front door. Jeff went around the back of the house, and tried to look into a window. It was so dark, he could hardly see anything inside. All he could see was an old table by the window he was looking in, and the wall at the end of the room. Suddenly, he noticed movement in the room. Jeff ran away quickly. Dismissing it as his imagination, he went back to the front door. Mogol was still at work, and Iggy sat down on a curb near them. Jeff sat down beside Iggy, and waited untill Mogol was finished.

"Okay. I'm done here. Let's have a look."
