Bark for me Boris

I got into the town and noticed that there were no people there. It was a ghost town. Tumbleweed blew past me as a wild house trampled the dirt road in front of me. I was very confused again. I admired the quaint town for some time before I noticed the clue. It was another turtle, exactly like the one that had been thrown at me earlier. I have a special way of remembering individual turtles that I cannot tell you about now because it is really not relevant to the story. Anyway, this turtle looked the same, but upon close examination I could see that it was a mannequin. It was pointing towards the entrance to a nearby saloon. I determined that I was supposed to enter, so I did.

I entered the saloon and the sight shocked me. Dust had covered up the entire place, to a height of about two feet. I wondered how long it would take for the dust to completely fill the saloon and start overflowing into the rest of the town. Maybe that is how ancient civilizations are buried. I glanced nervously around the room. I saw a large vanity mirror against a wall. The mirror itself was not interesting, but the fact that somebody had written on it "Dr. Stoney" in red lipstick. So he was a doctor. I wondered why his name was written on the mirror so I moved closer to get a better look.

What I saw in the mirror startled me. In fact, that is an understatement. What I saw changed my life, if you could call it that, forever. Looking into the mirror I saw myself as I had never seen me before. My mother had never led me see a mirror when I was a child, she claimed it was a tool of the devil. I looked into this devil’s tool and saw that I was in fact not a man or a woman, but a mannequin made out of fine Chinese porcelain.
