Shift Shapers of Gladstone by Jon Neal Wallace
Page 8 of 8
The next morning, the alarm goes off. Jones gets up and shuts if off.
He is sitting up in bed. He looks out the window and sees that it is a
beautiful bright morning. The sky is blue and birds are chirping. He thinks to
himself that it must have been a nightmare. He stretches his arms out, and
takes a deep breath. Suddenly, he has this uncontrollable desire for red raw
meat. His hunger pains were bad. He gets up out of bed and heads for the
shower.
He turns on the water and lets it get hot. He glances at the mirror on the
wall. He sees something on his right shoulder, so he leans forward for a closer
look. To his surprise, he sees a wolf teeth mark bite. Then he looks into his
own eyes and sees that he has narrow vertical pupils like a wolf.
