Canvas Magic (4 ratings) by Mark Wells
CANVAS MAGIC
Canvas stretched oils carefully prepared,
Thoughts brush past as our memories shared.
Colors, an empty void,
Inspiration flowing fingers toyed.
Hours I work building up your profile,
Paying special attention to a beautiful smile.
Eyes that sparkle tone just right,
A heavenly glow in the seductive light.
Married soon my lids begin to close,
A spell weaved my body dozed.
Out of the canvas you smile and hold my hand,
Light sparkles on our wedding bands.
Emerald stare your smile drifts slowly apart,
With a jolt I wake with a sudden start.
Glancing at the canvas my jaw hits the ground,
Her finger had a wedding ring neatly wrapped around.
