Son Of Light (1 rating) by Mark Wells
SON OF LIGHT
Lightning savaged a cloudless azure,
Nile waters food was running dry.
Ramses stole away before dawn,
To beseech to Osiris to grant more corn.
Osiris please release your hand,
Bring nurture quickly to your chosen land.
The gale tapped an answer,
Almost invading deep within.
I embraced this feeling off warmth through my skin.
Sand rolled almost tremulous as if in a glass.
Ramses felt all the troubles flitting away,
As dunes musically danced.
City folk seemed to sense all would be well,
Subliminal messages calmed images of impending hell.
The stone lion looked on to provide a smooth transition of power,
Osiris granted a future full of promise in that hour.
