October 16 2030.

07.00 Hours.

The Front Line.

"Come on man ! Hurry up and take your go !" Jake said impatiently.

"Hold your horses, this game takes careful planning !" Bill snapped back.

"Thank god the Government hasn't put you in charge of fighting this war, because the enemy would have died of boredom !" Jake smiled.

"Ha, ha, ha !" Bill laughed sarcastically.

The two men were playing drafts and all the time awaiting the order to get suited up and to climb back into their war machines.

"You should have taken more time with that move because, I win ! See !" Jake chuckled loudly.

"How do you do that, you win every game !" Bill sighed.

"ALL TANK CREWS, ALL TANK CREWS, REPORT TO YOUR STATIONS, THIS IS NOT A DRILL !" The message repeated, Jake jumped to his feet, pulled on his jacket that had been laying beside him moments before. He waited for Simon to get ready, Bill was one of these people who could never be on time for anything.

April 24 2003.

15.36 Hours.

Geneva Peace Conference.

"I say that total nuclear disarmament is the first step to peace !" President Walters shuffled his papers before he spoke again, "And if it is to start, we should order it now, get on your Vid-Coms and tell your Military Chiefs to commence the procedure..........Thank you !"

Some of the Leaders began to clap at Walters comments. America was the most dominant country at that time, Walters had set up programmes in his Government that had put America back as the leading country in electronics, reduced crime to a non-existent figure and had ordered the complete destruction of all French munitions factories, weapons and he also disbanded all of the French armies. This was because In the year 2000 the French had returned to testing nuclear bombs in the Pacific Ocean but on one occasion the bomb was to be dropped by plane onto a prefixed target but a sudden storm had blown the N1- Carrier off course and had rendered all navigational systems inoperative. The Bomber crew was ordered to drop the bomb any way and return to base. In the French control room the idea that the mission was to be scrapped never left the lips of any of the senior Officers, they had come to far to give up now, this was the largest most powerful weapon every constructed and it needed to be tested. This major breach of protocol was condemned by all countries. The decision not to abort the mission caused the total inhalation of Florida. The plane was directly over Florida and the bomb which completely wiped out the worlds most popular tourist attraction, casualties numbered in the millions and the radiation rendered the soil infertile and would remain this way for thousands of years. The French were now outcastes and widely criticised

"Okay President Walters I for one will agree with this and I hope the rest of you will also agree to complete disarmament !" Prime Minister Ferty of The Federated Commonwealth of England (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Japan, and Australia) Turned to his computer terminal and carried out his plans. A short time later all the countries had all ordered complete nuclear disarmament.

As the World Leaders began to congratulate each other on a successful conference President Walters noticed that the French diplomats had left the Boardroom, so he excused himself from the celebrations and also left the room.
