Return of the Morags

and welcomed Egals to their sector of space. 
"How long will it take to get to the Outpost ?" Egals asked.
"Shouldn't be too long now,  we've past the outer markers, half hour tops." Volpan answered.
As the small shuttle entered  visual range of the Outpost, Egals looked at the computer screen and was shown his new ship.
"Take a look at that ! It's -a thing of beauty ain't she ." Egals exclaimed.
"I'll have to agree with you there Capt. !" Volpan gasped.
A vibration hit the ship,
"Did you feel that ?" Egals asked.
"Yeah,  I'll check the engines !" Volpan uttered.
"No,  It's not the engines,  I know that feeling. Arm the lasers,  if you've got any."  Egals shouted.
As Volpan turned to the weapons console,  a Morag ship materialised in front of them,
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT !" Volpan screamed.
"It's a Morag battle cruiser ." Egals shouted.
The Morag fired a laser pulse at the helpless shuttle,  it hit the engines with an incredible force which tossed  the ship to it's side. 
"We've lost all main power and the stabilisers are shot to hell but I can hold her together for a short time !" Volpan said confidently.
Another laser pulse hit the ship,  sparks shot from the panels that covered the wall.  "One more hit like that and were done for, I may know this ship like the back of my hand but these shots will tear us apart !" Volpan shouted.
"Today is not a day I want to die on !" Egals laughed.
The Morag ship swung around to finish the shuttle off,  it fired !  The shuttle span  wildly before it was destroyed.
The Bridge crew of the Independence sat and stared at Egals and Quakes,
 "Excuse me sir,  are you alright ?" Commander Seaminess asked.
"Fine !  What happened ?" Egals was surprised to be alive.
"You were the first two people to use the experimental M.D.U.!" Seaminess said quickly.
"The M.D.U. ?" Egals asked.
"The Matter Dispersal Unit or you could call it a Teleporter."  Seaminess said impatiently, "So what are we going to do about the Morag ship ?"
"Lets go and get it !" Egals ordered.
The Independence cleared the docking rig of the Outpost and headed towards the Morag Battle Cruiser.  This Morag ship was huge compared to the one he encountered over a year ago.
"It looks like they have developed a lot of new weapons since I last saw them !" Egals exclaimed.
The Independence was a fine vessel Egals thought and was a little hesitant at first to send it into battle but as soon as the Independence was in firing range he ordered it to open fire on the Morag ship,  all of the 10 frontal laser cannons fired on the Morag ship.  The Morag ship tried to fight back but was soon crippled,
"Sir the Morag vessel is asking to speak to you !"  The Communications Officer told Egals.
"Put them on the main screen,  I want everybody to see this." Egals ordered
The crew had it's first look at the treacherous Morags,  their Bridge was smashed and on fire, even the light from the fires never illuminated the dark image of the Morags.
"Humans.....! I know you are pleased with yourselves at the moment but our mission was successful and if you don't............."
The Morag ship exploded.
"What did it mean,  our mission was complete ?"  Olaf Peterson piped in.
"I'm not quite sure Lieutenant." Egals answered,  "Navigator take us back to the station,  minimum speed !"
