Anne Rice and her fabulous vampires

What can I say? I fell in love with Lestat and the world that devilish vampire inhabits. I know I'm behind in a lot of my reading and I've been playing catch up (like with the Wheel of Time series by good old Mr. Jordan) And I'm nearly complete with the Vampire Chronicles. All I can say is WOW! All the vampires, you feel for them, they almost become a part of you as read these books, especially Lestat. My experience has been, you almost feel like his best friend as he confides in you all his thoughts and experiences. Anyhoo, rock on Anne Rice!

Smiling, oh how simple it is.

What is it about a warm smile that makes us feel better? We've all had the experience when an attractive woman, or a sharp looking man gives us the eye contact we weren't quite expecting but are all too happy to receive. The smile ensues. We revert to a state of adolescent wonder where anything is possible, and for a while we lose ourself in that simple split secondconnection. And why did we smile? Because we were attracted? Because we're flattered someone took the time to smile at us? Or does it simply feel good to have that connection with someone you don't know where words need not be spoken, but a feeling lasts that lifts you from the ordinary; even if just for a while. So next time you take that stroll remember to smile. Oh, how simple it is to make our day, and the day of a total stranger, all the better.

Family Guy - Stewie Griffin The Untold Story

Okay, I know that there are definitely some Family Guy fans out there, and let me say that the Stewie Griffin DVD is FANTASTIC!!! I laughed my butt off from beginning to end. It was no stop laughs, and it was done in the classic family guy way. It was like an hour and a half episode instead of a movie about a cartoon show. Very worth while. Definitely recommend.

Batman Fan Films

Okay, I have stumbled upon batman fan films. They are some pretty interesting stuff there. Batman: Dead End, for example pins the caped crusader against Aliens and Predators while going after the Joker. Interesting film. Others like Grayson, is well done as well. One of them comes to mind that was rather disturbing actually, which was The Death of Batman. I saw it and I couldn't not watch it. It was almost like a car crash where it's not going to be pretty, but you need to see it. It moves away from the comic and really makes Batman human and almost kills the hero aspect of him, and makes him a regular guy who screwed up another guy's life. And this film is not for the weak. There are some graphic sexual images relating to rape. Enough said. But if you like watching the fan films then you should check it out.
