John Seiler's Blog
Sunday, January 14, 2007 Books to read and my websiteBeen working through reading Alhazared by Donald Tyson. Finally saw the DaVinci Code on DVD. Went to half price books and got copies of Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry. My daughter thought that Angels and Demons was actually better than the DaVinci Code and said that the Templar book was highly recommended.
With respect to the Emperor Leopaldo Saga, since a Google Search will get you to the website, I will post it here: http://mysite.verizon.net/seilerjp . I seriously would like comments on the stories.

Wednesday, January 10, 2007 A bit about me...I have had an interest in science fiction and fantasy going back to my teen years, over35 years ago. I read much science fiction by the early authors, Campbell, Heinlein, Asimov, Clark, etc...etc. The Lord of the Rings Series became one of my favorites. Little did I expect it to be made into a movie in my lifetime.
From all of this, I have an extensive collection of HP Lovecraft, JRR Tolkien, Sherlock Holmes, Sax Rohmer, Frank Herbert, etc. I also am a long time pipe smoker and pipe collector, hence my nickname "Pipester" from the IRC Chat #Pipes channel.
A number of years ago, while traveling, I started writing for fun, short stories that combined my interest in pipes, pipe collecting/smoking with my interest in Science Fiction. Pipe collecting/smoking is so politically incorrect, I do not expect there to be much of an interest or market for such stories. They are written totally for my own and the pleasure of other pipe collectors. Hence the Emperor Leopaldo Saga, which has gone around in the pipe collecting community. I offer the stories to you for enjoyment and your comment.
The first story, "Satisfaction" may be found here: http://mysite.verizon.net/vzertfbz/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/satis2.pdf
There are a total of 16 stories currently in the "Emperor Leopaldo Saga". If there is additional interest, I will post links here, or you can check out my profile for a link to my website.
Believe me, feedback is appreciated.
