While the Redwall series is one of my, if not my most favourite series of books, I regretfully have to say that Triss is the worst book in the series. For the first time in any Redwall book, I actually found it tedious and overly complex in the middle third of the book, where Triss, her cohorts, other groups and other baddies are going all over in search of each other. Not to say the book is bad. It's quite good, just definately not up to par with BJ's other books. The monster (can't spoil anything for those who haven't read it) guarding Brockhall and the final scene with it, Triss, other Creatures from redwall and the White Ferrets is immensely captivating.

And of course, the feasts are always good. (I mean, that's probably why us Redwall fans buy these books...for the food)
