With the second book in the Book of words trilogy I would say that J.V. Jones reaches new heights in her writing. The plots newer stops to amaze you. All of the threads from the first book seams to get more tightly woven together, when almost all of the characters seems to end up in Bren. Even Bodger and Grift, the two guards that pops in and out of the story with their somewhat strange "philosophical" remarks ends up there. The balance of power almost seems to change with every other page. There is definitely never a dull moment, and I can hardly wait to start on the last book in the series...
