Great story. Full of imagination and vivid detail. Memorable characters, twisty plot, and some great surprises. Should hold a special place on every fantasy-lovers bookshelf. I like how the author ties in the dragons without having them take over the story. Melanie Rawn is a fantastic writer able to spin the threads of a beautifully complex plot into a perfect whole. Superb.

This is such a heart-wrenching series. I laughed, I cried and I got extremely angry. Rohan was such a greatly developed character. I was very disappointed when Rawn took a turn and wanted to focus on Pol instead and I seriously cried the way she chose to do this. I would have liked a more unique way to have Rohan as a back character. I questioned whether or not to read the last two books, but the rest of the story and characters were too captivating for me to deny finishing it. I seriously recommend the first three, but beware, if you fall in love with Rohan like I did, you may want to just stop while you are ahead.

How can you not LOVE this series!? This is definitely the best fantasy stories I've ever read. I took me less than a week to finish the whole first series, I couldn't put it down!

Rawn is my favorite author out of every english fatasy author. I mean, she has all of the elements in her tales. Action, romance, suspense, not really horror, but if you can manage to imagine like you are the character, then you would be scared of those dragons too!
