This book was a little different than I expected, but it's an excellent view into what it takes to build a world, and what The Eddings' did to write their books. I wouldn't suggest picking it up for a light read, but for a huge Eddings fan like myself, I would definitely recommend this book.

I was deeply disappointed by this book. I have read everything by Eddings & loved everything until now. If this had been marketed toward a creative writing class to show how the process is built, then I could see it as having a purpose. But instead, it appears as an attempt to make money off nothing more than his name & the great series he had already written. It is little more than a collection of notes from his developing the story & I wish I hadn't wasted my money on it.
