(Dec 03, 2001)The Black Unicorn is one of the most memorable books I've ever read. It was my favorite book for three years (world record) and is still in my top ten. The story is a bit unusual - after all, whoever heard of a black unicorn? Come to think of it, I never heard of an evil unicorn either.
The story's interesting all the way through, and the climax is impossible to guess. I especially liked the way that messages were sent through dreams. My favorite character would have to be Edgewood Dirk, because he's so adept at totally confusing Ben (the hero) and he always seems to know exactly what's going to happen next. Unfortunately, he never lets anyone else in on the secret.
The Black Unicorn is a great book. I think anyone who enjoys fantasy will love it. I know that I did.
