This book is absolutely brilliant, it takes you back to pretty much where the whole thing started, to when Sam Vimes was a young lad, living with his mum and most of the "now" characters (like Cpl Carrot) didn't even exist yet! Although you might have to read the other "Watch" books (e.g. Guards! Guards!) this one IS none the less a great read!!!!!!

I have been a discworld fan for some time and Terry has done himself proud with this new book, I noticed there were no reviews of it so I thought - why not?
Night Watch returns to one of my favourite charcters Sam Vimes and adds the ingenious monk Lze Tu just to make it even better. This book is funny, insightful and in places quite moving, a must for all discworld fans who want to see a classic character develop and grow before your eyes.
Congratulations Terry!
