"This is a story about a man named Eddie and it begins at the end, with Eddie dying in the sun. It might seem strange to start a story with an ending. But all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time." With that as the opening paragraph, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" is a truly inspirational, amazing book.

The book is based on Eddie, a maintenance man at a theme park who dies and goes to heaven. While the plot may seem simple and boring, it is anything but. When Eddie gets to heaven, he meets five different people who have all affected his life in some way. Some of the people are family or friends, while the others are merely strangers. Eddie learns in time that his life on Earth was important and not meaningless.

Mitch Albom does a fantastic job depicting heaven, and he truly makes you think: Could this really be what heaven is like?
