Submitted by Barry Allen (Apr 12, 2005)This is an original book for stoners and smokers about drugs, it is more specifically about marijuana. It compares the smoking of dope, weed, reefer, pot, to the worshipping of a religion, and says for many smokers in the 21st century that is just what it has become. Harazins the main antagonist who is in very little of the story actually says, "We are building a religion...instead of worshipping a god...we worship a plant."
Harazins who is based on the historical figure Hassan El Sabbah, is a Prince with the most beautiful garden anyone has ever seen. He brings young men into this garden and then expels them just as quickly, telling them if they ever want to come back, they only need go and kill a certain person Harazins has picked out.
The actual story follows one of the most famous of Harazins's pot-smoking assassins who is destin to kill the king. The problem is he just doesn't know it yet. It follows Anazasi the assassin on a wild ride through strange towns and across even stranger folk as he prepares to assassinate the king of this nameless country. If I had to guess, I would say it is probably Persia or Saudi Arabia. At times the story is hard to follow and confusing, but this is still a must read for pot smokers of all ages. Five stars, two joints blazing.
