Like most series, the first book set the tone and allowed you to understand the world. This book takes up where the first one left off. Rachel, Ivey, and Jenks are still free lancing their skills and now the human police force (FIB) is asking for Rachel's skills. FIB is at a disadvantage when one of their cases has a vampire, a witch, or a were involved and they just hate turning their cases over to IS(Rachel's old boss). Rachel is still after the man she thought was a drug kingpin but now there is a bigger problem. Ley Line witches are disappearing or being found dead. Questions from the first book are answered and replaced by new ones. I laughed until I had tears streaming down my face. The book is definitely worth a few hours of your time.
