I was not disappointed when I read the sequel of "The Outstreched Shadow."The book was truly a joy to read. I found my self liking all the characters and understanding their point of view. It was easy to read, I didn't find my self lost with the descriptions and places. Kellen seems so real to me, he was not perfect-and that's how a hero should be.

I read 'To Light a Candle' as soon as I have finished reading it's preceeding title 'Outstretched Shadow" and found that similar to the first book, it's a wonderful escape into fantasy.

The plot sometimes does not proceed as fast as I wish it could, and the adjectives frustrate me when its overuse served to distract rather than add. Some elements of the High Council were rather tedious, most likely because too many new characters were introduced without further development.

But all in all, I found the book an enjoyable departure from reality and await the release of the third book of the Obsidian Trilogy eagerly.
