I waited forever for this book and 24hrs later I'm finished. It's quite disheartening because I don't know how long I will have to wait for the next one.

This book kept me absolutely enthralled. It answers alot of questions as well as being filled with new mystery, new characters, and new points of view from existing characters.

Elizabeth Haydon is a fantastic author. Keep up the good work. Please don't make us wait too long for the next one.

I thought this book was a great continuation of the other 5 books of the series. It picked up where the fifth book left off, and added some new characters as well. I liked that Melisande was finally able to get in on the action, and that more of Achmed's Dhracian heritage was revealed. I also appreciate the idea that there was another full-blood Dhracian in the background to come give Achmed more insight into his mother's heritage. This as well as his father's Bolg heritage are contributions that could actually make him more of a weapon in the upcoming war than he realizes. I was also surprised by the the revelation of Portia's demonic inhabitant; that was a nice touch.

I'm so looking forward to the 7th book. I hope I don't have to wait too long!

I don’t know if it’s just me or whether there is a noticeable and weighty difference between Assassin King and past novels in the series. I think the story, the plot is definitely great. I think that the story form or rather editing is brilliant throughout this book. However at one point near the very end of the book I got the impression that the book was rushed for publishing too soon. Whatever it is, I still highly recommend the book although I might be bias being that I am a fan of all her previous novels in the series. In her previous series there was maybe to much repetition of detail. Sometimes I found it confusing and hard to make sense of and or grasp all the detail. I would skip some pages here and there, but not this time. What I favor most about her novels is the character development. I find it unique and brilliant about Elizabeth Haydon. I like character building that is not ‘black or white’, ‘good or evil’ but a mixture like that of a painter’s palette of many different colors. In my opinion her character development comes close or near to the greatest of Chinese literary epics ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’.

Great book, but now I can’t wait for the next novel in the series! I just hope I don’t have to wait to long for her next book!
