Honoured Enemy by Raymond E. Feist

I've always been a Feist fan.I loved the Riftwar Saga as well as the Mikdemia books. I only got this because I had to wait for Daughter of the Empire to be ordered and since this took place during the Riftwar it was only technically out of sequence. I was in for a surprise. Though most of Feists books take place on an epic scale this was more of a sub-story but that was why it was so good. The book relies far more on character development and the problems faced by two enemies who ally together and the tensions between them. Working with William Forstchen on this one was a great idea as he knew of battle tactics well and from what I can tell used to be a soldier. A brilliant collabarative effort.
