Perhaps one of the best fantasy book I've ever read and will ever read is Terry Goodkind's "Faith of the Fallen." This book is so interesting and compelling that it just keep me reading on and on. For the first time in my life, I've finished a 500+ page book in 4 days. Terry Goodkind's "Faith of the Fallen" just kept on pushing me to go forward into the book. Every page that I read, I wanted to turn to the next page. This was the first book I've read in a long time...after this book, I couldn't find another book as good as this one. Therefore, instead of starting at book one, which I didn't find out about until I've finished 6th, I found the 5th book, read it and then went to 1 and 2. Each book/series, have their own way of compellingness to the readers, but I believe "Faith of the Fallen" has to be the best book out of all the series. What Richard and Kahlan goes through, their love for each other, their love for the people they rule or love, and how each and everytime they are separated due to great forces, just brings tears to my eyes. Yet, perhaps what Goodkind does to make his books so delightful, is how he incorporates everything into his book. From laughter to tears, hate to love, "Faith of the Fallen" has it all. This book "FOTF" is definitely a 10. Good Job Terry Goodkind!!! I can't wait until your next book comes out!

WHAT HAPPENED!? What I had thought was going to be nothing more than enjoyable pulp fantasy has turned pseudo-philosophical on me, and not in a logical or foreseable manner! Question: What do you get when you cross hard-line communism with the the more repressive aspects of Medeival Catholocism? Answer: According to Goodkind, the Imperial Order. Goodkind manages to enliven the communist bogeyman we had thought dead and gone with a little bit of religious zealotry and intolerence (as illogical as that may sound). Since when did a copy of "The Wealth of Nations" fall into a time warp, and end up in the hands of Richard Cypher!? I had never, in my wildest dreams, expected to hear a wizard of any stripe pontificating about "...(T)rading value for value." Why?! Why couldn't Goodkind simply give us an easily avoided prophecied doom, and then have Richard avoid it with all the foresight and imagination of a wreckingball, as he has in the other books in this series?

I have recently read all the sword of truth novels finding them very good. I love Goodkinds work, but the thing about the Faith.... is that I can now realize the repeating efffect he gives and I must say it is starting to bother me. In all the books of the series he applies the same thing between Richard and Kahlan, Kahlan thinks he's crazy doesn't listen to him, they somehow part and then, they realize how much the other was right and how much they love each other, they get back together, the end. I love his work but come on 6 books with the same thing, please.

Goodkind has proven with his latest book, Faith of the Fallen, that everything he writes is gold. His work captivates you and moves you like very few authors can. His characters are so three demensional and I found myself even feeling sorry for Nicci at times. His themes in the book such as freedom and the worth of the human soul touched me deeply. If there is to be another book, I can't wait to get my hands on it. I recommend this story to anyone who has read any of Goodkind's other work.

Faith of the Fallen was a book of it's own. I found it a complete mental trip that accurately mirrored a lot of the views the world has currently taken. I had expected something a little different because he had seemed to have a pattern in his books, the one books is kind of taking a breath and the other is on the edge of your seat. But this time it was something that broke the pattern and really made me say "my god, this is crazy. how could anyone think like THAT let alone believe it?" I liked how he got more indepth with Jagang, he seems to constantly enjoy pointing out that no matter how or what the bad guy seems, he thinks he's right. The villian is living in his or her own world that doesn't quite match our own and doesn't seem to notice. He or she isn't wrong, everyone else is. In that you can kind of have some compassion for the antagonist even though you don't agree with them. I anxiously await the next book in the series.
