When I read her first book, I was amazed at how an author so young, so close to my age, could write something with that amount of skill. Then, when I read her second book, I was blown away by the, I almost want to say, brilliance of her work. Just seeing a book like that out there in the world doing so well, makes me wonder what I could do in my free time.

If I could I'd give it 0 out of 5 stars. She had too many plot holes that made her novel even more complicated to understand. It was a very quick read, no challenge or anything for the readers. It was plainly too unoriginal, ideas taken from such authors as Anne Rice , Stephen King, and Christopher Pike. Too unrealistic in taste. Just no storyline at all. Definitely not worth reading.

I'm only 11, so when I was about to read this book, I figured it would probably be boring and I would return it to the library the next day. I started reading it and I was glued to the book. All I wanted to do after I started reading the book was finish it so I finished it about two hours later. I found it very intriguing and I recommend it. I want to read the second one as soon as possible. When I go back to the library I don't think I'll want to give it back because it is very amazing, and that she wrote it so young makes me think what I could do. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is a very good writer and I hope she writes more books with this theme.

When it comes to this book the first thing that comes to my mind is impressive. An amazing sequel, by an a amazing author. This 14 year-old overachieving author, has made this chilling sequel to In The Forests of The Night a memorable one. It is easy to get into the story, and it brings the vampire lore to life. Plus it has a chilling ending that leaves your screaming for more. I give this book a 5 star review, and it is a must read.
