Shattered Mirror is one of the best book I have ever read, if not the best. I read it in about a week which is really fast for me cause I am busy. I read it as much as I could. I read it during class and as much as could at home. I even waited to do my homework in the morning so I could read after school. I loved it. I am interested in reading some of her other book (Shattered Mirror is the first one I have read) It was recommended by a friend. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is brillant. I would love for her to know how much I love Shattered Mirror. I loved all the charaters they were awesome. The only thing I didn't like was how Dominique was so harsh to her daughter. I also loved that poem:
Cold as winter, strong as stone;
She faced the darkness all alone.
A silver goddess; a reflection.
A mirage; a recollection.
No return; no turning back.
The past is gone, the future, black.
Serpents gather in their nest,
And she stands above the rest.
shadows hunt; she hunts the shadow.
The moon is risen; she stands below.
She views her world through the eyes of others.
Black and white; there are no colors,
As she looks down upon a shattered youth.
A shattered mirror shows a shattered truth.

Every one should read this book. I am going to recommend it to my english teacher who knows alot about books and reads alot.

Perhaps one of the most intriguing novels I have read in a while, Amelia's 'Shattered Mirror' drew me into a world I never knew was there, as did 'In the Forests of the Night' and 'Demon in my View'. However, I was not so pleased with Midnight Predator. Unlike her dark interest and extreme suspense in her other books, Midnight Predator was a bit to positive for my taste. In the end, everything is happy, and alright. Like Harry Potter. I do not intend to discourage her writing, and I hardly think what squabble I post on the internet will, for she is extremely talented. She has influenced me, and I hope others also. I have written my first book, and have already run it through a publisher who intends to release it next month.
Thanks,
Hornet Chain

Shattered Mirror is one of the best books I have ever read. Amelia has such a great talent. My favorite parts of the books are her incredible poems. I love how the characters have such strong personalities, but they are not set in stone. The characters relationships pulled me in and I had a hard time putting the book down. The only bad thing is how she ended basically the same as Demon in My View. I would have been so much better with a creative, unique ending. Other than that it is so far my favorite of her books.

I loved this book!!It was wonderful, and, as usual with me, I couldn't help but favoratize(is that even a word?) someone other than a main character: Nikolas. He was soooooo cool to me, and I don't know why. The characters are wonderful and Amelia is a talented young author. She made everything seem to work out, and her detail was explicable. Perhaps she should make her book a bit longer though...then it could be a movie!:)

The problem with this book is that the author made the characters personalities set in stone. In my opinion the charactors didn't change at all. Also, the plot was too confusing. It just went off into different directions constantly. Overall, this book was pretty poor.
