while. I can only compare it to the time I first picked up The Lord of the Rings or when I first started
on The Wheel of Time series. This is the kind of book that draws you in and just wont let go, it's simply
brilliant. I especially like the way George R.R. Martin doesn't overplay the "magic". He has managed to
create a fantasy story that would have been a truly masterpiece even without the "magic". It's a story
full of intrigue, different threads that weave into each other and a whole lot of surprises along the way. Submitted by Rodney Powell (May 01, 1999)What can I say? I love this book! Martin has created a lavish epic saga of lethal political
intrigue,action, romance, terror and betrayal.
You really are taken into unforgettable medieval world where great houses battle for power and honor.
