Page 2 of 25 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
Submitted by Preslon Pillay (Apr 04, 2003)The fourth book is easily the best book of the series and the best book I have ever read. J K Rowling writes the story in such a way that the reader really gets attached to the characters. The plot is incredibly well thought out and the humor is subtle and witty. Her style of writing is totally unique. It is a great read for people of all ages. After such a long book you would figure a person would be relieved and proud to have finished it quickly... The book took me about 8 hours to read and I was so disappointed that it had ended I went back and read it 2 more times before returning it to the library... While at the library I got it on audio tape and listened to it on my walks home... It's simply the best series of books that I've ever had the priviledge to read... Hah, actually the books got me interested in journalism... because I want to be the person who gets to read the next book and review it before it even comes out... the fantastic description and the lovable characters will pull you in and you'll never look back. I believe this is a perfect read for all children because it inspires children who do not like to read, read for the action, suspence, and the courage of each character. I am 14 and believe that J. K. Rowling is the most unique and imaginative person there is out there. I am not a critic because I feel all books are great and have a reason for being written, and if wasn't for J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter would not be the greatest series of fiction there is. If there are adults that have children, the Harry Potter series would be the best! Submitted by Anonymous (Dec 18, 2002)I have just finished reading the 4th book in the Harry Potter series, 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' for the fifth time. It is truly a delight, that even with the 5th reading, this amazing book (and all the previous books in the series) still manages to surprise me.
The fourth book is by far the best in the series so far. It is laden with excitment, sadness, friendship, action, and a suprise around every corner. It is thrilling, and when I am not reading Harry Potter (I can only manage to put it down when I fall asleep) I am dreaming about it. I love to escape into Harry's magical world and share every moment of the book with him.
All the books in the series have managed to draw me into their mysterious depths, but none so much as "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". I didn't think it possible after "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", but to my surprise the fourth book was longer, more filled with action, tension and intertwining ideas than any of it's predecesors. The conclusion to the fourth book makes me ponder what magnificant ideas Ms Rowling will come up with in the fifth book. I can't wait!! Submitted by Mary (Dec 12, 2002)When I finally got the latest Harry Potter book, I was thrilled. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was the latest in a wonderful series. I think I've read the series at least twenty times. It is a delightful way to distract myself and it gives me hope. It makes me believe that there will always be people willing to fight for what is right. It is a wonderful fantasy series and I am eagerly awaiting the next book.
