Page 3 of 3 In the Forest of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

The boldness of the characters highlights the stunning storyline of a 300 year old vampire and her quest to avenge what she lost when she became one of them... The book is pure dynamite, with more of the emotions of the seemingly careless vampires and the revamped vampire lore. I finished it in about two hours. and wasn't able to find it again for about 3 years. The second time I read this book it didn't catch my attention as fast, and was harder to enjoy. So I give it 4 stars. Submitted by Joe (Nov 23, 2001)I loved the book. The text grabbed me, and in addition to the stunning storyline I found the improved vampire lore to be much more grabbing than the original. What most impressed me was her ability to be so open-minded to so many ideas. To do this - even considering how young she was when she wrote it, is amazing. I can't wait until the sequel! Submitted by Justin Rocha (Sep 25, 2001)On Saturday September first I had the honor of spending a couple of hours roaming Boston with this young author who introduced herself as Amy. She was with a couple of friends that were shared by my boyfriend, John. The girl had a dynamite personality and I was quite impressed by her. The next day I went out and bought her first published novel and read it through. I loved the book, and felt completely drawn into it. While Amy feels that the book is her worst and claims that "It sucks", I couldn't disagree more with her latter statement, and am yet to know whether the former is true. This girl is truly inspirational, and I have been recommending it to all my friends.
