Like a different reviewer in this section, I did want to read the next novel in the series as soon as I finished "Isle Witch." However, I have mixed feelings. After the "Voyage of the Jerle Shannara" series, I think Terry should never go back to the Four Lands. The stories are interesting, but I agree with one of the reviewers in the General Comments section that Terry's beginning to repeat a lot of information in the Shannara stories. I found "Isle Witch" to be predictable. I won't spill any secrets here by naming examples, for those who haven't read it, but I think that it is hard to ignore and detracts from the story. The story jumps immediately into the action, all the while keeping much of the information from the reader, revealing it slowly over the course of the novel. It is a compelling tale that has the main characters travelling with a large company over the ocean and into a new land. While it may still be like the other Shannara novels, with the Sword of Shannara and the epic quest, it is still a very good story!
