Tad Williams is an excellent author. His descriptive writing, especially with regard to psychological description, is excellent. All of his books are big, dark, and immersive, and features characters that nearly everyone can sympathize with and relate to. The world-building is second to none. The only trouble is a lot of his books have cliff-hanger endings, leaving readers to wait anxiously for a sequel.
