This set is the one of the only two series I have read I have also read the Serpentwar saga as well and compared to that this book is legend. The whole fact that it mostly revolves around mostly Arutha it is good because it doesnt spring off on a tangent. His whole life is a mystery and you don't know what is going happen next to him. this boopk is loving, frightening and heartfelt, if anyone who doesn't agree with me is missing out.

I have just finished the Riftwar trilogy by Raymond E. Feist and found the three books absolutely fantastic. They suck you in and drag you along bringing to you a mixture of emotions ranging from joy and wonder to laughs and sadness and when you put them down you feel exhausted from the epic adventure you have just taken part in. I recommend anybody who enjoys fantasy to pick up and read Magician, but be warned and be prepared to have a lot of spare time on your hands because when you start to read, it becomes extremely hard to put it down until you have read just one more chapter. Then, before you know it, you have finished and are ready to start the next book in the series. So if you take my advice then enjoy and welcome to the world of Midkemia.

Magician is an amazing book! What else can I say, the first time that I read it I just couldn't put it down.

Feist is an amazing author and the way he pulls you into the book, makes feel for the characters.

My favourite part is when Pug destroys the 'Gladiator' style games when he is in Kelewan - you get the sense that he is making the impossible, possible.

I haven't enjoyed the other books in this series as much, but have read the Talon of the Silver Hawk and looking forward to seeing this story unfold.

I have played Betrayal at Krondor, and read both the Riftwar Saga and the Serpent War saga. I agree that Krondor the Betrayal was barebone and corny, but at the same time it drew me in none the less.

I have read all of Feist's works and I think that his imagination and creativity in being to expand, build on, and draw out the world of Midkemia this far and this well shows his brilliance as an author, and as for poverty and hunger of the middle ages these are indeed fantasy books, who wants to read about uncleanliness and filth. People read fantasy not to get a dose of harsh reality, but to escape it, so get real with that.

I thoroughly enjoy his books and I patronize him every chance I get... because I am loyal I guess... lol... but on a sad note, the follow up to Betrayal at Krondor (the 2nd game), Tear of the Gods, was a disappointment, not having the depth, ingenuity, and genuine feel that the first game did.

I have read the Magician, Silver Thorn, A darkness in Sethonoe and prince of the blood. His books are incredible, they give you another life of magic and mysteries to escape to when ever you choose to read the book. THIS SERIES ARE FAR BETTER THAN LORD OF THE RINGS!!
I never read a book in my life until I picked up the Magician.
Raymond. E. Fiest is the best Autor there is. I'm thinking of writing books such as his when im older
I'm 14 almost 15
