This series is great!! I'm 15, and i love to read.  I picked up "Days of Air and Darkness" becuase it looked sweet, and that was like a year ago.  I read it, and it only took a few chapters to get the gist of things.  I then buaght "Days of Blood and Fire" and i loved it as well.  I have since also read Daggerspell, a time of exile and a time of omens.  I love all the action, and how Kerr jumps around in time to give little tidbits of information that seem to give the story a much more realalistic feel.  My favorite is the balance between action and mystery, since their is always fighting, and more upon ever more puzzles to be solved.  I would love to see another of these books come Out, With more Dweomer use(COMBAT PLEASE) and of course, see Evandars "dream" come true.  I put Kerr up at the top of my list in authors and hope everybody ges a chance to read these books.  If you do, you'll never regret it!!

Katherine Kerr's Deverry series, is a fantastical and potent read.

Not only does she write great fantasy but she also portrays her characters as flesh and blood creatures, with all the foibles that go along with them. They aren't the "all honourable" chocolate box variety with nothing between their ears, but beings with a whole lot of character traits and just as many flaws. Which, (I think) makes them that more endearing.
