Ok, the Harry Potter series is good, but not THAT good. I've only read the first two books. J K Rowling is a good author, in that she creates fantastic plot twists. The combining twists and outcomes of The Chamber of Secrets was very impressive, but unfortunately that was about the only thing I enjoyed about the book. Sure, she's created a large world just like Tolkien (although not as large or as detailed) and she's made it particularly interesting, but I wouldn't say it's entirely original. I think she's a good writer, but I don't think the books are very grabbing. I think they get dull in places really. I know it's just me, as everyone else seems to love them, so I'm not saying they're bad books. They just don't do much for me personally. And the quidditch matches just get pretty tedious...

Hello. I would just like to say that I loved the Harry Potter series. I enjoyed the way that J.K. Rowling wrote [so far] these four books and I personally CAN'T WAIT until the fifth book comes out. I have a collage of Harry Potter things on my wall and I am hoping to get a Harry Potter pillow for Christmas. Thank you very much for writing these books Ms. Rowling. Happy Christmas!!

This is the best book ever! I was told about this from a friend that the books were awesome and then to my surprise received the first on for Christmas. I hope and know that all the rest of the books will be better yet.

I am an avid reader and I have been all 15 years of my life and the problem with most books is that I just read them so quickly it leaves me unsatisfied. The Harry Potter books are different though I want to take my time on them and though I still get them done in half a day I enjoy them way more. I hope the 5th one has about 2000 pages so it will last longer because all I want to do is read them constantly! They are the greatest books I have ever read.
