I thought this series was just amazing. Anne Bishop does an amazing job of capturing the imagination as she tells this amazing story. I've read the series a couple of times now (at least once a year for the past 3 years) and it still holds me in suspense and peaks my imagination. Wow is all you can say about these books. Truly a fantastic and magical world.

This is one of the best trilogies I've ever read, if not the best (on the last book of her other one, not sure if it's better =P). This realm of fantasy is truly captivating, not something you encounter in everyday books. I could not put the books down, and that's rare for me (even though I love reading, I just have a short attention span). So if you're looking for something to read, I highly recommend these books. If fact, go read them anyway, even if you are in the middle of something else =P.

I have just finished the three books and I must say that I was enchanted the whole time. Looking back on these reviews, it seems that I am the only guy to have read these books. Nonetheless, the Black Jewels Trilogy was an amazing read. One of my favorite books of all-time. I will admit that at times, I was either on the verge of tears or the tears were actually rolling down my face. I loved so many characters, mainly Daemon, Saetan, and Jaenelle. The ending was beautiful, fans who have read it know what I'm talking about. Bishop needs to write about the events after this series. I need to know more. The ending though wonderful makes me feel very empty right now. Empty in a good way I mean, not that it was crap. I pray that Bishop will continue the tale, even if it's just a short story about Jaenelle and Daemon.

The Black Trilogy is stunningly constructed from the palette of legendary myths and mysterious age, where two kingdoms found themselves head-on.

With tactile description and stimulating storyline, your nerves will be high-strung if any contents of this book is left incomplete. The characters are cleverly depicted to sting our conscious and provoke our thoughts in a creative way of preserving the essence of the story intriguing and alive.

The imaginery depth embroidered with innovative words makes Bishop a master of exploitation in colors, shades, mood, language tone that can put avid readers to straddle between two worlds, ancient and contemporary. Thumbs-up for a bold and a fine craftsman storyteller!

I had come to find this book while looking through a shelf in a book store. I saw the cover and was instantly drawn in. I have to say that the trilogy was wonderful. I was pulled into the book just as much as I was with the cover. Even though my mom didn't appreciate some of the text in the first book (I am only 13), I made her read it over again, and she found that it has a wonderful storyline. Anne Bishop did a wonderful job portraying the politics of that world, not to mention the suspence. I would recommend this book to anyone who is mature enough to accept the sensuality along with the plot of this thrilling novel.
